About the Author
Jen Arena is lucky to have been surrounded by great children's books her whole life. As a teenager, she worked at a children's-only independent bookstore in Pennsylvania, and after graduating from college, she made her way to New York City, where she found a job in children's book publishing. Since then she's written many books for kids (most under her maiden name, Jennifer Dussling). Jen lives on Long Island with her Argentinean husband, Dario. Dario ended phone conversations with his family with the words ""besos, muchos besos,"" which sparked the idea for "Besos for Baby."
Blanca Gomez is an illustrator and graphic designer living in Madrid, Spain. Simple things inspire her and her work, which has been described as clean, whimsical, and, yes, simple. She works on a range of different projects for clients around the world, including "Monocle," Marks & Spencer, Chronicle Books, and Urban Outfitters, but she especially enjoys illustrating books for young readers. "Besos for Baby" is her third illustrated book, and the first one to be published in the United States.
