Subpar Parks Postcards: Celebrating America's Most Extraordinary National Parks and Their Least Impressed Visitors (Cards)
From the creator of the wildly popular Instagram account and 2021 New York Times bestseller Subpar Parks, a collection of postcards with iconic and hilarious illustrations, some brand-new and exclusive to this collection
With Subpar Parks, both on the rapidly growing Instagram page and in the book, author and illustrator Amber Share combines two things that seem like they might not work together yet somehow harmonize perfectly: beautiful illustrations of our national parks and the eye-popping one-star reviews disappointed tourists have left online.
Now, fans of the parks and of Amber's work can enjoy the perfect gift: a book of twenty-two postcards, each featuring an illustration of a popular park, presented in a postcard-book format for the very first time.
About the Author
Amber Share is an illustrator and graphic designer based in Raleigh, North Carolina. She graduated from the University of Nebraska in 2010 with a degree in advertising and a minor in art. After several years as a professional graphic designer working on hand-lettering and illustration on the side, she left her job in graphic design to pursue illustration full time. As an avid hiker and backpacker, she spends a lot of time in local, state, and national parks, which inspired this project and the accompanying Subpar Parks book.
